Rejoicing Always?

How Can We Rejoice in All Things?

In Touch Ministries has a wide variety of free teachings by Dr. Charles Stanley, available on their website and in many countries they will even mail you a free daily devotional.

Each video on their website has free sermon notes that you can download and read to help you further explore the scriptures in the lessons. The sermon notes feature a key scripture and two or three supporting scriptures. The sermon is also summarized and has a couple of response questions in addition to sermon points.
Today I felt led to a sermon titled "Triumphant Joy."

The scriptures for this sermon are: Philippians 4:1-4; Galatians 5:22-23;Hebrews 13:5;and 1 Peter 1:3-8 .
The questions to reflect on are these:
  1. What evidence is there in your life that you have the joy of Christ? How consistently is it expressed in your disposition in hard times?
  2.  What are some of the reasons you can rejoice in your relationship with Jesus, even when your circumstances give you no apparent reason to do so? download these Sermon Notes, visit intouch.org/sermonnotes

My Personal Reflections

The sermon questions bring to mind a song frequently sung by a Christian family headed by Evangelist Richie Gillingham - "The God of  The Mountain."

As I have been going through this journey of mountains and incredible deep valleys, I have come to believe that the valley experiences are where the glory of God can be magnified so it shines brighter.
You may wonder how this can be, but let me ask you - which seems to be the greater miracle - surviving a horrific dog attack and coming back from the other side or an instantaneously recovering from a bruise?
Yes - deep valleys are very difficult to go through, but the number of people who can come to THE LORD through what you've been through is multiplied incredibly!
May we always be blessed with the ability to praise God when we are put to the test!
