Finding high-quality free apps for learning Hebrew in 2026 is no easy feat. As a Canadian Metis Messianic senior and a retired educator with over 20 years in the classroom, I know how vital the right tools are for mastering the "Holy Tongue." For the past 30 days, I’ve been testing the Duolingo Hebrew course to see if it truly serves believers and language seekers.

My current verdict? A "weak maybe."

Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle was one of my favourite books growing up. I was not aware it had been made into a movie, until a couple of weeks ago when I spotted the DVD multi-pack at a local store on sale.

Excitedly, I snatched it up, quickly devouring the list of Bonus Features on the back of the case with my eyes. For me, purchasing a video is all about the Bonus Features.

Based on the book that Sargent Sarchie wrote, Deliver Us from Evil: A New York City Cop Investigates the Supernatural, the movie does veer a little from his actual experiences as highlighted in some of his interviews. For example, he wants to make it very clear that he never killed anyone - not even accidentally.
