Are you familiar with the story of Neal McDonough? This was quite new to me because I don't follow gossip or watch much TV.

Neil grew up in Boston Massachusetts and was offered numerous baseball scholarships, but his heart was in acting. While shooting a show in London, England, he virtually bumped into his future wife, Ruve Just one look and he knew he would marry her. He called the woman he was dating at the time and told her that it wasn't going to work out because he had just met the woman he was going to marry. Everything seemed to be going great. Neal's career was on the rise, he had a beautiful wife, a wonderful home and children, but then everything fell like a stone!

Neal Donough was faced with a job expectation he just could not do. The director of Scoundrels expected him to do an intimate kissing scene. For Neal, this was a no-go. So after three days of taping, Neal was let go from a million-dollar contract.
After that, no one would hire him. He could not get a job. In an interview shared in the clip below, Neal said he became angry with God as he gradually lost everything. Everything, that is, except his wife and family.

Finally, with the love of his wife and family, Neal returned to his love of God. When hired for the Desperate Housewives show, he let the director know that kissing scenes were still a no-go. The director replied, "But this is Desperate House Wives!" Then added, "I guess I'll have to write better."
Neal shared that the director wrote better and they had a better show.
