Many Ministeries Distribute John - Why Not Mark?
Over my many years of seeing various ministeries hand out Bibles and books of the Bible, I have never seen a ministery give out the Book of Mark on its own. An email I received this morning got me thinking about this when I read the following tip for new Bible readers:
"If you're not sure where to start, Mark is a good place to begin. While it is the shortest gospel account, Mark also includes some details of Jesus' ministry that other accounts omit. "
Hmmm... interesting!
So, what are some of the details in the Gospel of Mark that are not mentioned in the other gospel accounts?
I'm off to investigate!
What do you think of this advice? Should ministeries perhaps switch to handing out the Gospel of Mark to new believers instead of the Gospel of John?
Or do you think it best to hand out the entire Bible?
