Praying Our Father's Will Be Done for Our Country
Canada is at a major Crossroads, and there is a lot of pressure from inside and outside our borders. During tumultuous times, it can be difficult to "walk peacefully amidst the noise and haste" as suggested in The Disiderata.
This is an extremely important time to pray. If you are so led, it might also be an excellent idea to fast and pray.
A few minutes ago, I was led to download an excellent free resource from Curt Landry Ministeries on Spiritual Warfare which has 10 scripturally based decrees including this one that inspired me to write this post.
A Decree for Our Nation
“Father God, in the name of Yeshua, I declare that You are greater than all nations, Your glory extends above the heavens. Lord God, I pray that our nation and its leaders come into alignment with this truth, that Your Spirit pours out upon them, and their eyes are opened to Your vastness. I petition the Courts of Heaven that we—Your Church—humble ourselves, pray in unity and in the Spirit, and seek Your face, turning from any wickedness in us. Your Word says that You will hear us and heal our lands. This truth I am standing on today!
Our land desperately needs physical and social healing.
Too many people have been without safe water for drinking and bathing for far too long.
Too many people are living in abject poverty , while others are consumed by greed.
Oh Abba, Father, hear our prayers.
