Why Talk About Passover Now?
Regina Victory Church offers a free online Bible Study Group via Zoom, guided by Dr. Nosa on Sunday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm CST. This study, based on the Discovery Bible App's "Creation to Christ" series, examines the scriptures to see what they reveal about our Creator. Last week's passage was Exodus 12:1-31.

Why Celebrate Passover ?
Passover celebrates a great miracle done by Our Creator. He told Moses (Mose) to tell the people to slaughter a kid- either a goat or lamb. Put its blood on their doorway and roast and eat the the kid. That night, when He detected the blood of the kid on any doorway, He would Passover that home. However, in any home where the blood was not over the doorway, the first born son in that household would die.
What Does Our Creator Say About Passover?
In Exodus 12:14 (NIV), we read: "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance."

The Creator emphasizes the importance of celebrating Passover and abstaining from leavened bread during the specified time. Scripture even states that anyone who consumes leavened bread during this period is to be cut off from Israel.
What Did Yeshua Say About Passover?
In Luke 22:7-8 (NIV), Yeshua instructed his disciples to make arrangements for the Passover meal: "Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, 'Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.'"
Yeshua celebrated Passover throughout his life. Luke 2:14 tells us his family went to Jerusalem every year for the festival. Since Yeshua observed Passover, we should follow his example, moving away from human traditions to honor this commandment.
At the first Passover, the firstborn of Egypt died; at Yeshua's final Passover, the firstborn Son of the Creator was sacrificed as the lamb who takes away the sins of the world.
Exodus 12:47-48 (NIV) states: "The whole community of Israel must celebrate it. A foreigner residing among you who wants to celebrate the Lord's Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land."

Who is to Celebrate Passover?
Exodus 12:47-48 (NIV) states: "The whole community of Israel must celebrate it. A foreigner residing among you who wants to celebrate the Lord's Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land."

When is Passover to Be Celebrated?
According to Exodus 12:2-18, the festival begins in the first month of the year. On the tenth day, a lamb is chosen, and on the fourteenth day at twilight, it is slaughtered. Unleavened bread is eaten from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first.
Note:
The first month of the year, according to the commandment in this passage is not January, but the Hebrew month of Nissan. In 2026, Passover will begin on Wednesday, April 1st.

I thoroughly repent of not celebrating Passover according to Our Father's Will in the past and mixing pagan practices in with this very important celebration. With Our Father being my helper, I will endeavor to do better this year.
