There are many ways that people are mislead away from healthy wholesome intentions for their lives. So often things appear to be pleasing to the eye, but just as that fruit in the garden of Eden, they are truly poisonous for us.
This is how temptation works. Something seems to be pleasant, but in reality it will bring about our downfall.

Food for Successful Living

While Christ did admonish the Jews of his period that it is not what goes into the mouth that makes a person unclean, but what comes out of the mouth, often eating the wrong foods in imbalance can result in severe problems. For example, it is only in recent years that I discovered many of the foods I had previously thought of as treats or even healthy for me could have contributed to drastic mood swings in my youth.

Sugar - Sweet Killer

The horrible way in which sugar affects not only our mood but destroys our bodies is now almost commonplace knowledge, yet we still think of sugary foods as "treats" for ourselves and loved ones. How can we be so blind to the way this food poisons our bodies?
If someone were to offer us a drink or food marked with a skull and crossbones, surely we would not ingest it! Yet the horrific effects of sugar on our body  and mind are just as drastic as any other poison.

Even foods that are supposedly good for us can cause chaos when we get too much in our system.

Excess Vitamin A Causes Irritability

Did you know that one medium raw carrot has enough vitamin A for three adults? Many so-called healthy drinks boast of having in excess of 100% of Vitamin A. Apparently many Omega fish oil supplements  contain too much vitamin A as well. What will too much vitamin A do to you? Nutritionists say that too much vitamin A will make you irritable, itchy and if you are expecting- cause birth defects! No wonder my kiddos and I  had a heck of a time. I was serving up raw carrots most of the time! Carrots are definitely a vegetable for the stew pot.Cooking carrots for a long time they say, can reduce the vitamin A by up to 33%. So cook those carrots really well!
