Urgent Prayer Request for Persecuted Believers!

Please Pray for Persecuted Believers Everywhere!

This week I received some shocking news from a group of lawyers working to defend believers in the Messiah who have been falsely imprisoned on trumped up charges - simply because they are followers of the Messiah.

Around the world today,  followers of the Messiah are captured, tortured and killed for their faith when they defy the authorities.
An evocative, high-contrast image showing a diverse group of four people—two women and two men—huddled together in a dimly lit, rustic room for a moment of intense prayer. They are seated around a weathered wooden table, their heads bowed and hands clasped together over an open Bible. A soft, warm glow emanates from the center of their joined hands and the Bible's pages, illuminating their focused and solemn faces. A single lit candle sits on the corner of the table, casting long shadows. Across the top, the text "PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED" is written in a classic, serif font, and near the bottom, the phrase "BEARING THE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS" is displayed. The overall atmosphere is one of deep faith, solidarity, and hope amidst hardship.

Here are some  excerpts from a recent email I received from ACLJ.:

ACLJ Shares Urgent Prayer Requests

Nigeria

Under the cover of darkness, Islamic jihadists encircle communities – massacring families, raping, looting, and burning Christian homes. Over 7,100 Nigerian Christians have already been slaughtered in 2025.

And while Christians seek refuge from the massacres, Nigeria's Muslim president deflects the blame, providing cover to ISIS-linked terrorists – with his military "help" arriving only after the killers have vanished into the jungle.

This is a genocide against Christians.

China

Two months ago, Pastor Ezra Jin was ripped from his family, including his U.S.-citizen children, by 30 Chinese security officers. China seeks to crush his church.

Pakistan

In Pakistan, justice continues to be denied for four ACLJ clients trapped on death row – their trials endlessly delayed at the prosecution's whim.

Ahsan was accused of reposting "blasphemous" images – images originally shared by Muslim rioters. He now faces execution.

Shahzad was falsely arrested as a minor over eight years ago and sentenced to hang on fabricated charges fueled by a violent mob.

Christian brothers Amoon and Qaisar have spent a decade in squalid death-row conditions waiting for a hearing. If we lose, they will be hanged – and we are still awaiting a new court date.

Prayer Points:

• Pray Acts 4:29-30 for believers everywhere.
• Pray for the legal teams and those working behind the scenes to gain the release of persecuted believers.
• Pray for the persecutors , and especially those in power.. Pray that their eyes be opened to the truth so they can see they have been badly misled and turn from their evil ways - just as Saul got his wake-up call on the road to Damascus.

Praise Report & Answer to Prayer! 🕊️✨

I wanted to share a beautiful update regarding Pastor Ezra Jin, whom I mentioned in this post. Through incredible diplomatic intervention, Pastor Ezra was officially released from Chinese detention on July 3, 2026, and has safely arrived in the United States to reunite with his family! He is finally back with his children and has even met his new grandson who was born while he was away.

While we rejoice and thank our Creator for this absolute miracle, please keep your armor on and continue to pray fervently. At least eight other leaders and members from his church (the Zion Church) remain behind bars facing heavy, unjust charges. Let's continue to lift them up, praying that the Father breaks their chains and brings them home safely as well!
