Yom Kippur Thoughts

Crying Out!

Whilst a bed,
I was led,
To read the following about Yom Kippur,
And reflect on Christ's  deed.
Indeed.
Scripture: No greater love has a man than this that he lay down his life for his brother.

Excerpt from Yom Kippur Email Sent from Chabad.org

By the Grace of G‑d 7 Tishrei, 5782
Dear Friend,
It's all up to you. Everything about Yom Kippur—coming up this Wed. night!—points to you:
In old times, one High Priest, serving one G‑d, in His one Temple, on His one holiest day, on behalf of His one people, sought G‑d's atonement for the entire world.
Today, one person, with one turn of his or her personal page, doing one good deed, or even making one good resolution—can change the course of the entire world for the good!
This means: YOU hold the keys to the world's future! Your good deed, your repentance, your cry from the depths of your soul, can penetrate the Gates of Heaven and call forth a response from our One and Only Father in Heaven.

Christ Our High Priest

Over 2021 years ago, God sent His only son to make an incredible sacrifice to atone for our sins. He was brutally beaten and nailed to a wooden structure to die a slow agonizing and painful death.
Let us reflect on this incredible love on this most holy of days -Yom Kippur from the setting of the sun this evening  to the rising of the same take a moment to cry out to God in gratitude fir the incredible gift of love we have been given.

An Ode That's Owed to The One Who Paid Dearly

Stumbling down the hall
No longer seems like a long haul at all,
My concussion throbbing in my head,
Makes me wonder at what Christ did,
When beaten through the streets he was led,
A crown of thorns thrust into His head,
Yet on the cross, before He died,
He looked into His mother's eyes,
And gave her a new son to help her continue and carry-on.
He took the time to reassure,
The criminal hanging beside Him there,
That he too into His Fatger's kingdom could come,
When His last breath on earth was done.
And then even more miraculously,
He cried out to His Father for forgiveness for misled people like you and me.

Thank God His only begotten  Son came to show us the way to go home,
