Debating Hebraic Scriptures? First Seek Translation Guidance!

How Mistranslations Mislead Christian Biblical Scholars

Many Christians read scriptural translations and are very mislead by what they read because the translation is not accurate. One of the greatest debates in current Christian discourse is whether Satan is being described in the following passage found in Chapter 28 of the book of Ezekiel.
Scripture:
Ezekiel 28:11-19

I was very surprised to hear there was any debate when the passage clearly states God is telling Ezekiel to make a prophecy over the King of Tyre!  I am quite sure that if God wanted to tell Ezekiel that he should tell Satan something, he wouldn't confuse Satan with the King of Tyre. God is after all omniscient - not concussed like me.

Sources for Interpreting Hebrew Scripture

I believe if a person is ever confused about a piece of scripture originally written in Hebrew, you should first to go directly God and ask Him to help you understand the scripture. A secondary source would be to seek out someone who grew up in the Hebrew culture and reads Hebrew. Ideally, a Messianic Rabbi would be best.
Why seek the opinion of someone who grew up in the Hebrew culture?
When people learn a second language, idiomatic phrases can be quite confusing. For example, someone learning to read English might read "It was raining cats and dogs" might imagine a scene like this.

No, it is not enough to simply read the words in Hebrew, you must understand the manner and cultural method of ancient Hebraic writing.
Therefore, I believe it is always best to ask God to direct you to Rabbinical writings on the Hebrew scripture that you are trying to understand.
For this passage in particular I would recommend reading"Yechezkel - Ezekiel - Chapter 28 - Tanakh Online - Torah - Bible (chabad.org)"

Oh, and by the way, and those inner cymbals that make sounds like drums?
Eat some beans and the King of Tyre's gastric problem may be revealed to you too.
And now you know why God would say he would blow up and become nothing but a pile of ash one day.
